Sungai Buloh: removing address ambiguity from invitations
An invitation that says only Sungai Buloh can point attendees to more than one place.

Hi, I'd like to discuss professional-event planning support. Help needed: Not decided Event type: Not decided Event area: Selangor, Sungai Buloh Date: Not decided Approx. attendees: Not decided Reference: EV-0961 / en Page: https://eventconsultant.com.my/areas/sungai-buloh/
The short answer
Audit the invitation line by line and separate four things: the postal label, the station, the building and the council. Each one needs its own confirmed wording, taken from the venue or the authority, not from memory.
If any of the four is unconfirmed, the invitation should say less and point to the venue's full address.
Four things that get mixed up
A postal label names a town or area. A station name belongs to a rail operator, a building has its own name and entrance, and a council covers a defined area. A line such as Sungai Buloh, Selangor can blur all four.
The audit gives each one its own row, a confirmed value and a source. It takes less than an hour and prevents attendees from searching for the wrong place.
What to verify for Sungai Buloh
Each check is a question with who answers it.
- Which council covers the exact address? MBSA lists a Sungai Buloh branch office on its portal, and the Selangor portal lists MPS with Batu Caves and Selayang, so a place name may span more than one authority. Ask the venue for its full address and confirm with the council that applies.
- What is the official station name? KTMB's Komuter page opened did not name Sungai Buloh, so check the rail operator's own station list and the exact name to print on the invitation.
- What is the building's exact name and street address? Ask the venue to supply the wording it uses for deliveries and visitors.
- Which entrance and floor lead to registration? Ask the venue and use its wording.
- Does the map link on the invitation open the same place as the written address? Test the link on a phone and record who tested it.
- Who signs off the final invitation text? Name the person and the date.
How Sungai Buloh differs from neighbouring areas for this decision
This page owns the exact-address audit for invitations. For the venue-choice decision see Rawang, and for the origin-based meeting brief see Selayang and Batu Caves.
The difference here is that the place name may appear under more than one authority, so the council check comes before the invitation is printed. Build the final wording with the delegate arrival instructions builder, and see the Selangor overview.
Worked example · Fictional example
A fictional society audits its invitation
Fictional organisation and figures, for illustration only.
A fictional nurses' education society drafts an invitation that says only the town name. Its audit finds that the postal label, the station and the building each need separate wording.
The committee asks the venue for its full address, tests the map link on two phones and reissues the invitation. All details are illustrative.
Use this yourself
Exact-address invitation audit
Complete each row, then record who confirmed the wording.

Handle it in-house, or bring in help?
Your team can usually handle this when
- The venue gives one complete address and the committee can test the link.
- Attendees all use the same arrival method.
Outside planning help earns its fee when
- The invitation goes to several audiences and the wording keeps changing.
- Nobody on the team can chase the venue for the confirmed wording.
Want the invitation audited and the wording confirmed?
An Event Blueprint can set out the audit table, list what the venue and operators must confirm in writing and assign who tests the links. A project lead can collect the confirmations and prepare the final invitation text. Send your draft invitation and the venue's address.
Questions organisers ask
Is Sungai Buloh one council area?
Do not assume it. MBSA lists a branch office there and the Selangor portal lists MPS elsewhere nearby, so confirm the address with the council that applies.
Should the invitation name a station?
Only if you have confirmed the official name on the operator's own page for your date.
What goes on the invitation if something is unconfirmed?
Use the venue's full address and leave out the unconfirmed detail.
